One dead, two injured in Rukungiri accident.

On Sunday, one person was killed and two others were seriously injured in an accident in the Rukungiri district.

The accident, which involved a motor vehicle with the registration number UAA 920 Y and a red motorcycle with the registration number UFL Bajaj Boxer, happened at 7:50 p.m. at Kihunga Nyamayenje on the Rukungiri-Ntungamo highway.

According to Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate, the driver of the Landcruiser rear-ended the motorcycle, which was carrying two passengers, and took off, but the front number plate fell down at the scene of the accident.
