Godfrey Muchunguzi has called on locals and leaders in the district to always uphold integrity by championing the fight against corruption.
Muchunguzi revealed that though the government has taken vital steps toward ending corruption, the locals and leaders have a pivotal role in ending corruption.
The RDC who was speaking at the district integrity promotion forum inception meeting held at Embassy tours hotel in Ntungamo municipality on Wednesday revealed that serious tasks in the fight against corruption are still ahead adding that the government has given fighting corruption a priority to ensure those in authority are checked.
Byamugisha Robert Kakuru the Executive Director Kick corruption out of Kigezi revealed that Ugandans must form joint efforts towards ending corruption and related tendencies.
Byamugisha revealed that corruption derails service delivery and leads to loss of essential services such as education and health care.
