Elvis Twenda elected as the new SAFO chairperson

The Kigezi College Butobere old students on Sunday 12/6/2022 elected a new leadership under the Siniya Alumni Forum (SAFO), to help in uniting the school’s alumni and rejuvenate the glory of the school.

During the Annual General Meeting yesterday that was held at Imperial Royale in Kampala, Counsel Elvis Twenda was elected the SAFO Chairman, replacing Moses Ntahobari, who is now the current Board Chairperson of Kigezi College Butobere, while the Kabale Municipality Member of Parliament, Hon Nicholas Thaddeus Kamara, was elected the Vice-Chairperson. The Minister of Finance, In-charge of General Duties, Henry Musasizi, was elected the Patron.

Others are Engineer Ivan Rwendeire, who was elected the General Secretary, while Dr Jesse David Kabagambe was elected the Vice Secretary, Dr Eng Martin Tumutungire is the treasurer, and Dickens Tukamushaba is the vice treasurer, while Bob Tusiime is the mobilization and publicity secretary, and Eliab Naturinda Mporera is the SAFO legal adviser, and Brian Nkurunziza, Elisha Rwakiranga, Martin Gatera, and Davis Barugahare were elected the Board committee members. About 22 million shillings, both in cash and pledges, were raised to help in the functioning of the school.

Speaking to our reporter after Elvis Twenda said that they will ensure that the Siniya spirit is rejuvenated, help in improving the enrollment of the school, and support the school financially, among others, asking all the stakeholders to support the school in revamping.
