Police in Rukiga are investigating circumstances under which a 34 year old man was discovered dead hanging inside his bedroom.
The deceased has been identified as Emmanuel Rumanzi resident of Rugarama Village Mparo town council Rukiga district.
Elly Maate, Kigezi region Police spokesperson confirmed that the deceased was found dead on 19th June 2022 by his brother Peter Mutatina who had come from Kabale where he works.
Maate adds that when deceased’s brother opened the door where they stay in their father’s house, and found the deceased hanging on the rope at the entrance of their door entering the bedroom.
Maate said that the deceased’s brother informed their father Charles Tukwasibwe who reported the matter to Mparo police post.
Matter revealed that the deceased had gone back from unknown place to his father’s home after a period of eight years.
It’s alleged that whenever the deceased would get drunk he always talked of hanging himself with the rope.
Police visited the scene, body handed over to the relatives. The case of suicide by hanging has been registered under reference number CRB 265/2022
