The Government of Uganda through the Ministry of local government has donated 103 Yamaha motorcycles to the entire LCIII chairpersons in the Kigezi sub-region in a bid to ensure effective monitoring of government programs and proper service delivery in the region.
While handing over the motorcycles to LCIII chairpersons at Kabale district yard in the Central Division in Kabale Municipality on Thursday, the State Minister of Trade, Industry, and cooperatives (Industry) David Bahati told the chairpersons that motorcycles are expected to improve the monitoring of government programs like the parish development model and Emyooga and service delivery in their respective sub-counties.
He cautioned them against using motorcycles to do their personal activities.
