President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has eulogized the late Bernard Nzeirwe, the father of the former Kyankwanzi and Kabale districts deputy resident district commissioner Denis Nzeirwe as a re-known business person, a strong supporter of the ruling National Resistance Movement, very cooperative and a social man who contributed heavily to the economy of the country.

President Museveni’s condolence message was Thursday read for him by the minister of state for trade, industries, and cooperatives, and the Ndorwa West MP David Bahati during a requiem service held at his ancestral home in Kamuganguzi Sub County of Kabale district. Museveni also commended the late Nzeirwe for being a very hard-working man and a lover of education through educating his Children. Bahati also delivered 10 million shillings to the family of the late Nzeirwe to support the burial arrangements from president Museveni.

In his condolence message read for him by the former Kyankwanzi and Kabale districts deputy resident district commissioner Denis Nzeirwe, the former prime minister of Uganda and the special envoy to the president on general duties Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda commended the late Nzeirwe for being a role model in dairy farming in Kabale district, transparent and a pillar to the people of Kabale. He also asked mourners and members of the late Nzeirwe to emulate the way of doing things that the late Nzeirwe exhibited.

Preaching during the service, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna condemned conflicts and divisionism in Christian families and asked mourners to repent their sins, receive Jesus Christ as the personal savior and live prayerful lives while still on earth in order to be welcomed in the Kingdom of God after death.

The late Nzeirwe succumbed to multiple organ failures at Nakasero hospital in Kampala on Monday. He has been survived by 19 children, 45 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
