Police in Kabale district is investigating circumstances surrounding an incident in which the manager of tiptop bread was robbed at gunpoint.
The victim is one Nisnant Shitole an Indian national and the manager of Tiptop bread Kabale Depot and resident of Makanga cell central ward central Division Kabale municipality.
The incident happened last night around 9:30 pm at Makanga cell central division/ward Kabale district.
Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate says that the key suspect is Amos Ecidu who is a security guard attached to Accurate security company who was on and worked with other unknown people.
He adds that the manager was put at gunpoint and forced to open the safe thereby robbing him of approximately 8 million Ugandan shillings before the guard abandoned his rifle and they took off with the money.
He further cautioned the people using security guards in their homes and businesses to desist from the use of single deployment since this compromises their security.
