Siniya Alumni Forum supports students to participate in National volleyball competitions.

Siniya Alumi Forum has commissioned Kigezi College Butobere volleyball team to participate in Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ball games II in Lira.

Speaking today during commissioning the Siniya Volleyball team at Kigezi College Butobere Grounds, Elvis Namara Twenda Alumni Forum Chairman revealed that they have mobilized as a obs to ensure that Siniya represents in the national competition since the school couldn’t manage.

He urged the students to desist from acts of alcohol, drug abuse, theft, fights and ensure that they are disciplined while representing siniya.

He further emphasized the need to concentrate on academics in a move to excel high and bring Siniya back on map.

Jordan Arinda, the Kigezi College Butobere Volleyball Captain revealed that they qualified for national competitions after becoming in the second position during regional competitions in May 2022.

He noted that they have trained hard to perform better and qualify during national competitions thus assuring for discipline.

These games return after a two-year hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nine sports disciplines will be competed at the games; Basketball (3×3), Football (U-16), Netball, Volleyball, Handball, Rugby 7’s, Woodball, Dancesport as well as Athletics and Cross-country.

Dancesport, woodball and football U-16 debut at these annual games that will be hosted at Dr. Obote College Boroboro and St Katherine Girls secondary schools in the Northern Uganda city of Lira.

These games will run from the 13th to 21st August, 2022.
