With only two days to the Bukimbiri by-election, Asgario Turyagyenda, one of the candidates on an Independent ticket, has proven to be the darling of the masses receiving various gifts along the campaign trail

A total of four candidates will tussle it out on the ballot, come August 11th, 2022 for the seat of Bukimbiri County Member of Parliament.

In Nyabwishenya Sub County yesterday, locals in the area including the indigenous Batwa gifted Turyagyenda with items ranging from sugarcane, Matooke, pineapples, yellow Bananas, and Chicken, thanking him for the great work he has done in the past.

The gifts also signify encouragement for him to push forward as he prepares for the works he intends to do, once elected into Parliament.

The residents of Nyabwishenya requested Turyagyenda to establish a sugarcane and pineapple factory, once voted into power because it will employ more youth and boast the revenue collection in the area.

Nsenga Denis, a former political radio host in Kisoro said the best and only candidate to vote for is Asgario Turyagenda because he has remained humble and connected to the people of Bukimbiri ensuring that education and health were given top priority.

While speaking to the Press, Turyagyenda said the act of giving gifts from the community is representative of love and trust towards being able to lead the people.

He vowed to ensure that, once in Parliament, he will work diligently on roads, electricity, water, and health care in Bukimbiri County.
