Police in Kisoro are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of Florence Hashimiki 75 years of Nyaruyaga village Nyamagana ward central division Kisoro municipality/ district.
It’s alleged that on Sunday 04/09/2022 at about 2100hrs the body of the deceased was discovered in her house lying in a pool of blood that oozed from the noose.
Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate says that the deceased was last seen on Friday 02/09/2022 evening at about 1800hrs by her neighbor one Nsabiyera Alice Annah and when was not seen for a while, one of her son’s friends Mbonye 34yrs, resident of Bigina village, hospital Ward, Kisoro Municipality, on instructions of her son one Dr.Fred Nizeyimana proceeded to the home to check on the old woman only to find her dead inside the house and in a pool of blood.
Dr.Nizeyimana Fred got suspicious of why the mother’s phone number was off something that was unusual.
Maate adds that the scene was visited and examined, and the body was conveyed to Kisoro hospital mortuary for postmortem as investigations into the matter continue.
