Police in Rukungiri are investigating unclear circumstances under which an unidentified male adult was allegedly murdered.
It’s alleged that on the 12/09/2022 at around 0800hrs at Nyamayenje Market area, along Rukungiri Ntungamo highway, Nyamayenje Ward Southern division Rukungiri Municipality, Rukungiri district, while
CPL Oketayot Michael was reporting at traffic point on duty, he found that dead body with deep cut wounds on the head and friction wounds on the buttocks aside of the road who must have been murdered in the night.
He there after alerted the District CID Officer.
Kigezi regional police Spokesperson Elly Maate says that a case of murder was registered, scene was visited and documented.
The police sniffer dog introduced to the scene but could not do much as the scene was tampered with.
Body was taken to Rwakabengo H /C III mortuary for postmortem.
Anyone missing his/her dear one should visit the mortuary so that is identified and taken for descent burial.
