Ntungamo resident district commissioner Geoffrey Mucunguzi has urged lower local government leaders to always monitor government programs regularly if effective service delivery is to be realized.

Mucunguzi said that monitoring is not a bed of roses, it needs time and urged the development partners to be determined because when monitoring technical people they can try to intimidate someone.

Mucunguzi was on Tuesday speaking at a two-day learning visit of the Civil Society budget advocacy Group (CSBAG) in collaboration with Agency for community supported by OXFARM Uganda with Participatory Budget Club from Zombo and Nebbi Districts.

He also said that for service delivery to improve, everybody must give input and request the development partners to keep doing the good work, especially the South western institute for policy and advocacy -OWIPA who hosted the activities.

Ntungamo district local council five chairperson Samuel Mucunguzi Rwakigoba urged locals to embrace the parish development in a bid to improve household income.
