Yaake says there is a possibility of escalation of the disease due to the failure of the locals to adhere to the guidelines.

in a letter issued on the 11th of October 2022, signed by the district veterinary officer Dr.Yaake Basulira and Resident district commissioner Mucunguzi Geoffrey, all locals are ordered to desist from the transportation of animals and their products for a period of two weeks.
