City Lawyer Elvis Cautions Students Against Sexual Misconduct, Alcoholism.

Renown City Lawyer and Managing Partner Namara Twenda advocates company Elvis Twenda has cautioned students to avoid indulging in activities that threaten their health.

Speaking as the guest of honor during the launch of Ndorwa East Students Nurses and Midwifery Association on Saturday at Kigezi gardens Makanga Kabale Municipality, Twenda pointed out sexual misconduct and alcoholism as the major issues that affect the performance of students now days

The association brings together medical students from all the four sub counties that make up Ndorwa East Constituency in Kabale District.

Twenda asked the youth to Look after their health. A person is more useful when they are healthy. The risks to your health are well known, avoid sexual misconduct and alcoholism.

He added that it’s thus is time to focus on studies and in future after studies you will enjoy what your heart desires.

Twenda who doubles as the Siniya Alumni Chairperson, expressed concern over the impact of social networks on young people, who spend long periods of time online.

“The problem of social media or digital addiction is relatively new, but it has really reached all over the world. It has been called the modern day addictive drug – like tobacco or alcohol,” he said

The Association Chairperson, Fidel Niwamanya Chairperson, said that they came up with a decision to form an association with an aim to keep as a team and live exemplary to other young people.

Meanwhile, the students presented a piggery project, medical camp proposals to the chief guest, and Mr. Twenda promised to first register the association and provide constitution. He promised to provide necessary knowledge and support towards developing the association.
