Authorities in Ntungamo district have this afternoon commissioned the rehabilitated general in the patient block at Rubaare Health Center IV.
The rehabilitation works were executed by Mutwi Company Limited to the tune of 137 million shillings and included internal renovation, external renovation, and compound works.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Ntungamo resident district Commissioner Geoffrey Mucunguzi revealed that he commended the contractor for quality work and asked the health workers at the facility to put the newly rehabilitated structure to good use so that the patients get better services.
Naome Kabasharira, a Rushenyi county member of parliament, revealed that the authorities intervened on time and called for collaboration between politicians and technocrats if effective service delivery is to be realized.
Ntungamo district chairperson Sam Mucunguzi revealed that the health sector in the district is being prioritized so that people can have a better quality of life.
He revealed that the authorities in the district are working hard to ensure that the locals get the best services.
Ntungamo’s chief administrative officer, Nasser Mukiibi, revealed that the district is working towards ensuring that the staffing gaps at the facility are addressed. He revealed that his office is working with the office of the district health officer to ensure that the required critical staff, such as a dentist, are recruited.
Ntungamo district acting health officer Beatrice Chemisto revealed that the rehabilitation of the structure is a relief to the health center since it was in very bad shape.
He asked the health workers at the facility to put it to good use and facilitate effective health service delivery.
Fred Muhinda, the director of Mutwi Company Limited, revealed that the district leadership and technical team were corporative and supported him all through by guiding him and ensuring timely payments, which enabled him to do quality work.
