Police in Rubanda district are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a couple.
It’s alleged that yesterday morning ( 21/12/2022) at about 07:00hrs one Mujuni Werreni 45 years, was found murdered by unknown people on the way to his house by his neighbor who made an alarm which attracted other residents including the deceased’s wife one Christine Kenema.
As residents became many, and knowing how the two have always been having domestic problems, they suspected his wife to have master minded his death, hence lynched her to death.
Kiegezi regional police Spokesperson Elly Maate says that information reached the police, scene was visited immediately postmortem was done at the scene and the two bodies were handed over to the relatives for burial as investigations continue.
