Police in the greater Bushenyi region are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of a woman and her son.
The deceased, identified as Sylivia Atusasire and her son, aged two, were reportedly hacked to death by yet-to-be known assailants, and the bodies were dumped at Kyogyera Playground.
Atusasire was operating a canteen at Bishop Maclister College in Kyogyera, in Sheema district.
She met her death when she was returning from a birthday party for her now-deceased son.
The incident took place in Rubare cell ,Nyarweshama ward in central division of Sheema Municipality.
A police officer who talked to our reporter condition of anonimity because he is not authorized to speak to the media confirmed the incident saying that it could have happened a few hours past midnight.
