Kabale chairperson commends local for supplementing Gov’t efforts

The Kabale District Chairperson, Nelson Nshangabasheija, commended
residents of Kakoma, Butuuza Kyasaano and Bungagana, all in
Kamuganguzi sub-county for freely giving in their pieces of land to
allow for the opening of Kakoma-Butuuza-Kyasaano-Bunagana road.


Nshangabasheija, was yesterday speaking at the official launch of the
construction works for the road, which will be constructed at the tune
of 700 million shillings. The works also include the construction of
two bridges.


He said that the road would help to provide easy and quick means of
transport for agricultural produce to marketplaces, adding that
residents in the areas had been grappling with inaccessibility and
poor standards of transport, which hampered service delivery in the area.
Earlier, Mr. Nshangabasheija also officially launched construction
works for 2 VIP latrines at Rwaza & Bunagana P/schools in Kibuga
&Kamuganguzi respectively and also commissioned another completed one
at Butuuza Primary school also in Kamuganguzi Sub-county.
Also present at the commissioning and launch of these projects, was
the deputy District Internal security officer, Gerald Turyamureba, who
represented the office of the Resident District commissioner, the
technical staff, led by the Chief Administrative officer, Fred
Kalyesubula, District Executive Committee, areas councilors, and sub
county leadership among others.
