Buhweju MP roots for vigilance over increasing murders

Mp Buhweju West Ephraim Biraaro has appealed to Uganda police to increase its vigilance following rampant murders that have overwhelmed the Buhweju district.

His comments followed the recent case where Prunari Buzare of Rubengye who was killed over the weekend in the cold by unknown assailants. Biraaro said that murders have overwhelmed Buhweju, especially the areas of Rubengye, Bihanga, Rwizi, and Ndurumo.

Biraaro said that more than 12 people have been killed in cold blood in the last three months. He added that most of the murders are a result of domestic violence which has escalated in Buhweju.

Tumusiime confirmed that he had received several reports of murders in
Buhweju district.  He said he was yet to liaise with the DPC Buhweju to understand the real causes of these murders which are on a serious increase.
