Police in Kabale registered a fatal accident involving a motorcycle reg number UG 1719R super trail white in color being ridden by one Aharimpisya Jassy, the deceased, aged 37 years old, mukiga by tribe, an agriculture officer, resident of Nyamweru sub county in Rubanda district, and an unknown motorcycle ridden by one Joram Nkwasibwe, aged 27 years old, mukiga by tribe, resident of Rushaki southern division in Kabale municipality, who was rushed to Kabale regional referral hospital in critical condition.
Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly It says that the accident occurred on May 23, 2023, at about 23:30 hrs. at Mwanjari along Kabale Katuna Highway.
Maate adds that police were alerted, visited the scene, and the body was taken to Kabale referral hospital mortuary for a postmortem and
M/cycle UG 1719R Parked at the police yard pending IOV inspection.
Maate says that inquiries are underway to establish the likely cause of the accident.
