Bishop Akanjuna Inspires Unity in Marital Relationships

The Right Reverend Gaddie Akanjuna, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, delivered a powerful message highlighting the importance of diligence and unity within marital relationships. His words of wisdom were shared during a Baptism service at St. Mark Church of Uganda in Sekiwunga Akright, Kampala. The occasion marked the christening of the children of Justus Obey Twinomujuni, the CEO of VanJoy Consults Limited, and the founder of the Justus Obey Foundation.

Bishop Akanjuna passionately urged couples to strive for harmonious living, financial stability, and long-term family planning. He underscored that if teams embraced unity within their households, issues such as domestic violence, poverty, and family breakdown could be significantly reduced. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of parents providing a quality education for their children, as this investment would pave the way for future family development.

During the church service, Honorable Minister David Bahati, the State Minister for trade, industry, and cooperatives, who also served as a Member of Parliament, echoed the significance of couples praying together. He stressed that a family rooted in faith is better equipped to face life’s challenges. Minister Bahati thanked Justus Obey for his unwavering friendship, dedication to hard work, and authenticity as a dynamic individual.

Honorable Tom Bright from Kyaka Central Kyegegwa commended Justus Obey for his tireless work ethic and warm personality. The community recognized him as a diligent and friendly individual.

Justus Obey Twinomujuni and his wife, Regina Ntegyereize, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to their friends and godparents for gracing the occasion. In addition, Obey encouraged the younger generation to cultivate relationships that foster personal and societal development.

The event drew a distinguished crowd, including leaders, and prominent business figures such as Charles Musekuura, the Chair of UNBS, and Eve Ngabirano, the wife of the Capital Shoppers Supermarket proprietor. Other notable attendees included Denis Mudene, CEO of the Lotteries and Gaming Board, Dr. Patrick Birungi, Executive Director of Uganda Development Corporation, and Agaba Gilbert, Muhweizi Alex, Alfred Kabuuchu, Can Baryantuma Munono, and Deputy Town Clerk Kabale Municipality, Erick Sunday, among other esteemed dignitaries.
