Minister Musasizi Cautions Government Aided Schools on Charging Fees

State Minister for Finance Henry Musasizi warned school headteachers in government schools to refrain from charging fees as schools reopen. He made these remarks while addressing Christians at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Rugarama during a church service. In the same function, Bubare’s town councilor, Obed Mutatina, was baptizing his set of twins.

The minister is emphasizing the importance of adhering to government policies that provide free education in public schools, such as the Universal Primary Education (UPE) and Universal Secondary Education (USE) programs. By cautioning school headteachers against charging fees, the Minister aims to ensure that parents are not burdened with additional financial obligations when sending their children to government schools.

The Church Service was led by Vicar for Cathedral Rugarama Ven Byamukama Daniel.

Preaching at the service,Moreen Mayanja asked Christians to desist from practices of intrigue while serviing the Lord.
