Kabale Muslim District Kadhi Sheikh Kabu Lule has expressed concern over the Muslim couples who have continuously been involved in different religious denominations within marriage.

He made remarks while delivering his Eid al-fitr message in prayers held at Kitanga Mosque Rukiga County on Wednesday.

Sheikh Kabu Lule, revered for his wisdom and leadership within the Muslim community, articulated that the insistence on uniform religious affiliations among couples overlooks the intricacies of human relationships and the potential richness that arises from embracing diversity.

Kadhi Lule emphasized the paramount importance of nurturing a young generation steadfast in the traditions and beliefs of Islam. He lamented the confusion and dissonance caused within families and communities when spouses subscribe to divergent faiths, emphasizing the potential impact on children’s upbringing and societal cohesion.

“As a family, there must be mutual understanding leading to the adoption of a singular religious affiliation, be it Islam or Christianity,” Sheikh Lule proclaimed.

He cautioned against the repercussions of maintaining dual religious identities within marriage, stressing the need for clarity and consistency in guiding familial and communal practices.
