Former Dean of studies at St Paul’s Seminary Rushoroza in Kabale Diocese, Rev Fr. Dr. Vincent Musabyimana has been found dead in his residential room at St. Veronica Catholic Parish in South San Francisco USA where he had gone for holiday.
According to the Kabale diocese vicar general Monsignor Silverio Twinomugisha, Fr .Musabyimana 52 years, who hails from Kinanira parish in Kisoro district, was yesterday set to return from the US but only to be found dead in his room by undisclosed person who had gone to transport him to the airport.
Monsignor Twinomugisha noted that the deceased had gone to the Archdiocese of San Francisco at Saint Veronica Church for a month holiday to also fill the gap of the parish’s parish priest Rev Fr. Charles Puthota who was away on his annual vacation.
Monsignor Twinomugisha described the late as a humble, cheerful, compassionate and intellectually gifted man who was also a voracious reader all of his life and committed to Catholic education. He added that funeral arrangements are pending.
From 2011 to 2019, Fr Dr Musabyimana served as a Chaplain at California Pacific Medical Center and at UCSF Medical Center while earning his doctorate and his postdoctoral degree in Catholic Educational Leadership at the University of San Francisco. He was Former Dean of studies at St Paul’s Seminary Rushoroza in Kabale municipality in early 2000 and served for at least 5 years.
