Court in Mbarara has remanded three men for plotting to kill a businessman in Mbrarara who also doubles as the Kakiika Division National Resistance Movement Chairperson Benon Mugume.

Court presided over by Grade 2 magistrate Gordon Tumuhimbise, heard that between January and February this year, the three accused persons who include Baingana Pius 42, Africa Godwin 33 and Kasibante Moses plotted to kill Mugume, a charge they all denied.

The presiding magistrate however told the accused persons that they are entitled to court bail as a constitutional right, but due to his busy schedule, he could not hear their bail application and remanded them to Kyamugorani government prison until 10th March 2020 when they will reappear in court.
