Isingiro district task force led by Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Herbert Muhangi has freed 128 people who have been in quarantine for 28 days after testing negative for COVID-19.
RDC Muhangi says that these were in quarantine at Kabahinda vocational institute, adding that, after two of them testing positive more 14 days were extended for proper assurance.
According to the RDC, more tests were carried out and the results from Entebbe virus institute returned showing that they were negative.
Two patients from the quarantine center are currently admitted at Mbarara regional referral hospital receiving treatment.
He is now calling upon the community not to stigmatize those discharged saying that they don’t have virus. Majority of the people who were quarantined were from Tanzania.
Mbarara regional referral hospital now has 11 COVID-19 patients admitted as of June 17,2020.
