Kabale LC V chairperson urges locals to respect COVID-19 directives

The Kabale District local council five chairperson Nelson Nshanga Basheija has called on the locals to respect the directives issued by the government aimed at checking the spread of COVID-19.

The chairperson who was on Wednesday speaking to our reporter in his office at Makaga hill revealed that the pandemic is for real and has claimed many lives an issue he says requires collective responsibility.

The chairperson revealed that the locals should supplement government efforts by observing the standard operating procedures in addition to staying in their homes so that the disease does not escalate.

  Nshangabasheija further revealed that the locals should not abandon paying attention to the other diseases such as HIV,Malaria,diabetes among others.
