One person was on thursday killed and two others critically injured after being struck by lightening in Rukungiri district.
The deceased has been identifies as Patrick Gareeba (58) a resident of Omukatooma trading center in Nyakitaba cell in Kakindo parish in Bugangari sub county of Rukungiri district.
Kigezi regional police spokesoperson Elly Maate says that the lightening struck at around 5:00pm and left Evas Korugyendo and Harriet Tugume.
Maate adds that the injured are currently receiving treatement at Nyakibare hospital in Rukungiri town.
