Former Buhara sub county speaker dies in an accident

Former Buhara sub county speaker in Ndorwa east Kabale district died on spot after he was knocked by a truck.

The incident happened today at around 9am at Buhara sub county headquarters when the driver lost control due to a slippery road.

The deceased is Dismus Anyijukire 35 year’s old resident of Buhara Sub County according to the Kigezi Region Police spokes person Elly Maate.

The accident involved Motor vehicle Number UBH 189E truck of double Q Co LTD which was loaded with iron ore from Ntarabani to the factory along Buhara Kabale rural muram road.

Maate says that the truck was driven by Musa Kalema who is in custody, resident of Mawombi village Mpigi town council. He knocked the motorcycle number UDK 819I Bajaji boxer being ridden by the deceased.

Maate adds that  the motorcycle was parked a side waiting for the truck to pass and during the slippery motion, he tried to climb the escarpment grabbing tree branches which unfortunately  got broken and fell back where the tuck passed over him leading to his death.

The scene was visited by IP Twinobuhamizo Oc traffic kabala postmortem done, both Moor vehicle towed to police station for IOV inspection.
