Police in Rukiga are hunting for assailants who allegedly murdered a 64, years old woman.
The deceased is Juliet Kyarimpa Juliet a resident of Kakanyoro village Kibanda parish Kamwezi sub-county Rukiga district.
Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate says that It’s alleged that the son, one Ephraim Byakagaba left home in the morning hours of 21/02/2022 for his normal work in Kakanyoro trading center, leaving the mother now the deceased alone in the house sleeping in her bedroom.
Byakagaba was shocked on his way back at around 19:40hrs when he found his mother’s lifeless body leaning beside the bed in a pool of blood with multiple cutes on the head.
He called the neighbors who also witnessed, later moved to Kamwezi police station where he made a report.
Maate says that one suspect whose identities have been withheld has been arrested to help police in the investigations.
