Police in Kisoro is investigating circumstances under which one Izidoro Tumanye, a male juvenile aged 14 years old, herdsboy, a resident of Kafuga cell, Kashaija Ward, Rubuguri Town council, Kisoro district, was allegedly assaulted and died instantly.
He was allegedly assaulted by Edith Tusingwire, 51 yrs, and Gloria Akesiga, 32 yrs, both of the above addresses, plus others still at large.
Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate says that It’s alleged that on 13/05/2022 at around 1600hrs at Kafuga cell, Kashaija Ward, Rubuguri Town Council, one Tusingwire Edith, Akesiga Gloria, and two others still at large arrested the victim, now deceased, accusing him of stealing a mobile phone and clothes from the properties of one Ronald, a worker of Tusingwire Edith.
The four suspects ganged up on the deceased, beating him until he became unconscious. He was thereafter being taken and abandoned at the doorway of his master, one Tumusiime Reuben, and upon the master waking up, going for a short call, he found his herdsman lying unconscious.
Maate says that the police are trying to identify more suspects while the hunt for those on the run is underway.
