an oxygen concentrator valued at 4.5 million shillings has gone missing at Kihihi health center IV in Kanungu district.
Sources at the facility indicate that the machine reportedly went missing on 07/07/2022 and the matter was reported on 17/17/2022 which is 10 days later.
Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate says that the matter has been recorded under file number SD 11/17/07/2022 and three suspects have been arrested and detained at Kihihi Police Station.
Those arrested to assist police in the investigations include Gildo Abampurira, Saturday Justina, and Elijah Owamani Elijah all staff of Kihihi Health center IV.
Police say that the disappearance of the oxygen concentrator raises a lot of questions in addition to the failure of the facility management to report the matter on time.
