Uganda communications commission UCC on Tuesday donated ten computers, a printer, and headsets to the greater Kabale district public library which is located at the southern division headquarters in Kabale municipality Kabale district.

The technician from UCC who does computer installations in all public entities of Uganda Waswa Bernard who has delivered computers and handed them over to the northern division authorities talking with our reporter said that they put these machines in public libraries so that locals can easily access computers and free internet while doing research and this is purposely to benefit locals around the district.

He added that everybody qualifies to get these computers as long as it’s a public entity and whoever needs them must write to UCC to rob for these machines.

The area LC III chairperson Macklin Batware in an interview with our reporter said that these computers are going to benefit the whole community most especially those who want to acquire skills on the hands of computers as the world has changed to the digital.

Batware has called upon the public to come and have free training education for the first months as an offer to those interested in studying the computer.

Batware added that the Southern division library is the only public library in greater Kabale district that is Rubanda, Kabale, and Rukiga district districts.
