The fundraising was meant to raise funds for the construction of the new building of St. Paul’s Kacerere Church of Uganda, expected to cost Shs2.5 billion. It was held at St. Paul’s Kacerere Archdeaconry Church of Uganda in the Diocese of Kigezi in Rubanda District.

While preaching, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, the Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, has emphasized the need for Christians to shift their focus from the past to the future, with Jesus Christ as their guiding force in 2024.

Bishop Akanjuna emphasized God’s mercy, love, and ability to rescue and uplift His people from adversity.

He requested that people always help those who don’t have all their basic needs, and he encouraged the importance of prioritizing education for their children.

Minister Bahati revealed that Rubanda, Kabale, and Kanungu Districts jointly hold 312 million metric tons of iron ore reserves, which, if effectively utilized, could sustain the region for the next 50 years.

Out of 49,150,900 shillings, 41,500,900 shillings were paid in cash, and 7,650,000 shillings were secured through pledges.
