Illuminated by the collective dedication of dignitaries and supporters from across Uganda, the event pulsated with a fervent commitment to bolstering girls’ education. Prime Minister Robinah Nabanja, standing as a beacon of governmental support, echoed President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s endorsement of the cause, emphasizing a substantial investment of 80 million Ugandan shillings towards enhancing educational infrastructure. Amidst this atmosphere of solidarity, Prime Minister Nabanja personally pledged 10 million shillings, underscoring her unwavering dedication to propelling the advancement of young women forward.
Against the backdrop of a rich legacy of female empowerment, Bwongyera Girls School radiated promise and possibility as it embarked on a new chapter of growth and expansion. With fervent aspirations for the construction of a multipurpose hall and a girls’ dormitory, the commemorative gala not only honored the school’s illustrious history but also heralded a future teeming with opportunities for the next generation of female leaders. As cash and pledges poured in, reaching an impressive Ugx 160 million, the event epitomized a collective resolve to consolidate girl child education for sustainable development, echoing the sentiments of Headmistress Ms. Katushabe Grace and garnering praise from local dignitaries for the school’s invaluable contribution to societal progress.
