Kabale police have started investigations into the suspected murder of a third mentally ill person in less than two months.
The information was reported at Kabale police station by Sheik Bashir that there was a dead body along Kabale _Mbarara road Ruhita,Rushaki ward southern division in Kabale district.
Kigezi Region Police Spokesman Elly Maate speaking to our reporter says that after receiving the information a team of police officers including soco and police surgeon responded to the scene and upon reaching there, there was a body of a male person lying alongside the road opposite Harvest petrol station.
The murder of Kabajurizi comes after first murder of a 60 year old mentally ill woman who was found murdered on 8th march along Kabale town round about in Kigongi cell, Central Division Kabale Municipality.
The second murder was John Kwizera commonly known as Desire about 40 years old, from Kabwasizi cell Buhozi parish Busanza sub county Kisoro district
He was found dead on 25th along Nyerere road in Gaju cell, Central Division Kabale Municipality. His head was shattered while eyes and tongue were plucked out by unknown assailants.
According to Maate the body was identified as, of Javira Kabajurizi 35 years old and has been having a mental problem and found out that the deceased had bruises all over the body.
The Police have however registered the case of suspected murder under reference number SD ref 22/04/2021 at Kabale Central Police Station to help in investigation.
