one person died on spot while another was critically injured in an accident that occurred along the Rukungiri –Kanungu road .
Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate says that the incident occurred at Kinyasano and involved motorvehicle registration number UBH 283 E canter blue in color and Motorcyles UEU 641 M Bajaj boxer red in color where Amil Bright (33) the passenger on the motorcycle and resident of Kihani cell Nyankwanzi s/county, Mwenge county Kyenjojo district, died on spot while the rider Medard Asiimwe was rushed to Nyakibale hospital in critical condition.
Maate says that the incident occurred at around 8:25 pm last night and the deceased’s body was taken to Rwakabengo health center mortuary for a post-mortem while the vehicles are parked at Rukungiri police station as an investigation into the matter continues.
