Suspected thief lynched in Kisoro

A 24-year-old Suspected sauce pan thief resident of Kigezi Village, Gisorora Parish, Nyakabande Sub County in Kisoro district has been killed by a mob.

The deceased has been identified as Anatori Musinguzi Mufumbira, It’s alleged that on 15th last week at around 11pm the deceased was killed by unknown people as he returned home.

According to the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson Elly Maate the deceased came running, pushed the door and entered the house but in a minute the killers came following him up.

According to The deceased’s mother Cecilia Nyirahabakwiha 68 years the thieves the killers pushed the same door warned the mother not to make any alarm, the thieves entered his bed pulled him outside and killed him

Nyirahabakwiha said that her son has been notorious thief whom she suspects was killed by the people whom he could have offended before

Matte says that they had multiple cut wounds on the head and a smashed face, the deceased had been in prison for two years for stealing saucepan and served a sentence of two years and was discharged from Kisoro Government prison on 13th may 202.

The case of murder has been registered at Kisoro Police station under reference number CRB 245/2021.
