Police in Rukiga District are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 75 year old woman.
The deceased has been identified as Bakine Serebiano (75) Kabirizi village Kitojo parish Rwamucucu sub county Rukiga district.
According to her neighbor who was only indentified as Agnes, The deceased was discovered from her bed this morning dead in her house.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson Elly Maate, say that when Agnes went and called the deceased she didn’t respond which forced her to enter inside the house since the door was wide open.
He adds that inside the house things looked scattered and some missing which made her suspicious, called neighbors and found her dead.
Maate noted that a report was made at police, scene visited and body pending postmortem to establish the likely cause of her death.
Maate further said that also established that she has been staying with a grandson who is nowhere to be seen since morning for reasons not known as Inquiries underway.
The case of suspected murder has been registered at Rukiga Police station under reference number CRB 324/202
