Christ the King church was on Monday afternoon filled to capacity as Hundreds of mourners gathered to bid farewell to Moses Arineitwe, the Muhanga town council engineer who died in an accident over the weekend.
The deceased died on Sunday 12th December 2021 in a Motor Accident at Katinda in Ntungamo District as they were on their way to Mitooma District.
Fr Achilles Tumukurate a curate at Christ the King Parish, preaching during the mass service called upon mourners to count their days when still alive and live a happy and exemplary life.
He urged people to thank God for the work that He enabled Eng Moses to carry out during his time on this world.
Phionah Arineitwe, the deceased’s wife described her husband as a man who loved God despite religious denominations, loved and cared about his family, very Jolly and holly.
He added that the husband was a hardworking, peaceful, disciplined man.
Shillah Kahonaho, a sister to the deceased, told mourners that his brother was full of love, down to earth, and friendly that has been helpful to their family in different ways.
Eudia Mutabazi, the Muhanga town clerk eulogized Engineer Moses as a man who was compliance, cooperative and intelligent. He added that Moses would do his work in time and ensure that his services are clean.
Isaac Kahonaho, the Mbarara deputy Resident district commissioner who is also the deceased’s brother-in-law described the deceased as a person who was very intelligent, technical and very straight in what he would do.
He called upon the public to be vigilant ahead of the festive season and keep following standard operating procedures in the fight against Cvid.19.
Engineer Moses, 40 years, has left one wife and two children. His body of Eng. Moses Kanoni will be laid to rest at his ancestral home in Kashekye village, Kyogo parish, Kamwezi sub-county in Rukiga district 14th December 2021
The late Eng Moses worked with Katuna Town Council, Water and Sanitation South Western branch and currently has been working with Muhanga Town Council in Rukiiga District as the Town Engineer.
