Caroline Kamusiime Muhwezi, Lawmaker for Rukiga District, has urged parents and guardians to provide scholastic materials for their children when school resumes in January 2022.

Caroline Kamusiime Muhwezi, speaking to Christians of Kihanga Archdeaconry yesterday, revealed that the public has had a difficult year, with the majority succumbing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Education institutions were closed in March 2020 as a result of presidential directives to do so in order to slow the spread of the pandemic, which claimed many lives in European countries and Africa as a whole.

She asked the people of Rukiga district to remember the children who have been at home for nearly two years as they celebrate Christmas.

Caroline added that while people have not been working, they should make every effort to ensure that their children are picked up from school.

She also urged the people of Rukiga to be responsible and urged wives to obey their husbands.

She congratulated the people of Rukiga on reaching the Christmass on the day and urged couples to be kind to each other in order to keep their marriages stable.
