Rukiga woman mp supports needy family

Rukiga district woman member of parliament Carroline Kamusiime Muhwezi on Saturday joined locals to raise support for a needy family in the area.

The family residing in Rugarama cell of Noozi Parish in Rwamucucu sub-county has been struggling to make ends meet without food and accommodation.

The family is composed of three children and Agnes Kyomuhendo (31) as their sole breadwinner after separating with her husband following domestic wrangles.

The legislator donated household items to the family which includes two mattresses, four blankets, four plastic chairs, two beds, and 1 million to support the construction of the house for the family.

 She also pledged to support the children so that they enroll in school and have a better future.

Muhwezi also commended locals in the area who joined hands and came together so that they support the family in setting up a house for the family that has for years been struggling without any place to call home.

 Agnes Kyomuhendo the family head who has for seven years been working as a housemaid says that she managed to buy a piece of land from her savings and was happy that the locals move in to support her and set up a house for the family.
