The Principal nursing officer in charge of midwifery services in the ministry of health, Acam Jane Frances, has urged Midwives to uphold their values and serve diligently in order to avoid cases of maternal and infant mortality deaths.
She was speaking today at a two-day workshop at Cephas Inn, organized by the Ministry of health in conjunction with the Kabale district health department which is the host district of this year’s National celebrations. The workshop is part of this year’s celebration International day of the Wives to be held at Kigezi primary play ground under the theme”100 years of progress” where the guest of honor is expected to be the Vice president of Uganda Jessca Alupo.

The Assistant district health officer in charge of maternal and child health who is also chairperson of the organizing committee Paddy Mwesigye said that in the ongoing workshop that is ending tomorrow, they will be sharing researched information aimed at improving better health services especially on reducing maternal and infant mortality.
