Kabale woman mp donates 50 piglets to Ndorwa East Boda Boda riders

The Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament, Catheline Atwakiire
Ndamira, on Friday, donated a total of 50 piglets to organized groups
of Boda Boda riders from Ndorwa East Constituency in Kabale district,
as a way of improving their household income.

The piglets were handed over to the beneficiary Boda Boda riders in their
respective Sub counties in Ndorwa East constituency. Atwakiire said
that she lobbied the piglets from the National Agricultural Advisory
Services (NAADS) secretariat, to support Boda Boda riders to help them
boost on their incomes and ensure that they also benefit from the
government.

She said that the first beneficiaries are expected to share the
piglets with their colleagues when they give birth in a rotational
manner.
Hon Atwakiire added that she targeted Boda Boda riders because they
are oftentimes neglected by different development stakeholders. The
legislator promised to continue lobbying for constituents, so as to
uplift their household incomes.
Hon Atwakiire warned the beneficiaries against selling off the
piglets, if they are to serve the purpose for which she lobbied
them.

The beneficiaries, who included the Ndorwa East Boda Boda Association
Chairperson, Silvano Turyasiima, Daniel Kiconco, Barnabas Akiiza,
commended the legislator for remembering them and promised to ensure
the improve on the piggery project in their families and make it an
enterprise for their families
