A newly born baby and its mother have died at Mparo health center in Rukiga district.
The deceased mother has been identified as Dianah Musasizi, a resident of Mparo town council in Rukiga district.
Sources at the facility indicate that the mother bled profusely after giving birth and the facility had no blood. The newly born baby also reportedly died moments later.
Rukiga district has no general hospital, and Mparo health center IV is the district’s biggest facility.
Authorities at the facility and in Rukiga district were yet to make an official statement by the time of filing this story.
