Police in Kabale have registered a case of an unidentified male adult drowning.
Information was received today 27/09/2022 at around 09:30hrs, that there was a floating dead body at river Rwabakazi, at Nyakijumba cell, Rushaki ward, Southern division, Kabale municipality/ district.
Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate was visited by a team led by D/CID/O, SOCO, and fire and rescue police officers.
He further revealed that the body was retrieved in a decomposing state and conveyed to Kabale’s referral hospital mortuary for postmortem.
Efforts to have him identified are underway and asked the locals whose relatives are missing to visit Kabale mortuary so that he can be identified for a decent burial.
