The Kabale woman member of parliament, Catheline Ndamira, has advised married women to submit to their husbands.
Catheline Ndamira said once one is married, the focus should be on his or her couple if faithfulness and development are to happen in the family.
Ndamira made these remarks at the giveaway of Florence Akanjuna on Saturday afternoon at her home in Kasinde Mwendo in Kitumba subcounty in Kabale District.
Florence Akanjuna is the daughter of Gad Kamugisha Sinod, a member of Kigezi Diocese in charge of the Kasinde Church of Uganda in Kikungiri Archdeaconary.
“Once you’re submissive to your husband, leave the rest to God. I have no doubt that your family will be God-fearing since all along you have been raised in a humble and very religious family,” Ndamira was quoted.
Atwakiire also attended the introduction and give-away of Hossana Deborah, Daughter of Happiness, and Annah Kyokwijuka of Ruhita Northern Division Kabale Municipality at White Horse Inn Kabale municipality.
