Leaders launch the completion of structures at Kyafora Primary School in Ntungamo

Leaders in Ntungamo district on Friday afternoon launched the completion of structures at Kyafora primary school in Rugarama North Sub County in Rushenyi County on Friday.

The structures to be completed include two classroom blocks, the staffroom, and the office of the head teacher.

The works, which were commenced by the school well-wishers and the parents, will be completed by the district at the cost of 80 million shillings.

Ntungamo district chairperson Sam Muchunguzi commended the parents for supplementing the government efforts and urged them to continue supporting efforts aimed at improving the quality of education in their locality.

He also revealed that the district will commence road works on roads in the district in mid-February to ease access to schools,health facilities, and trading centers.

He revealed that the district is very committed to focusing on development in 2024, asking locals not to be misled by self-seeking politicians who want to engage the locals in early politics.

Ntungamo deputy chief administrative officer Lawrence Mbabazi revealed that the district is focusing on ensuring that the quality of education improves.

Ntungamo district engineer Charles Kusemererwa revealed that the works will see the structure completed, and the floor will be tiled to ensure that there are no cracks and the pupils learn in a conducive environment.

The works will be executed by BAMIDI Technical Services Limited over three months.

The structure that is set for completion,initial works were from the efforts of parents and well-wishers.
