Authorities in Ntungamo district have today launched projects worth 202 million shillings in a bid to improve service delivery.

The authorities led by the Resident District Commissioner Godfrey Mucunguzi and the district Chairman Samuel Muchunguzi Rwakigoba started with the launch of the construction of a twin staff house and a drainage pit latrine at Kaina Health Centre III in Rwentobo-Rwahi Town Council at a cost of 170 million shillings, which will be constructed by Mutwi Company Limited, and the construction of a four-stance definable pit latrine at Rubaare Health Centre IV worth 32 million shillings, whose construction will be executed by Asphoebe Company Limited.

The resident district commissioner urged the contractors to focus on executing quality work, saying that shoddy work would not be tolerated.

He commended the government of Uganda for its commitment to extend services to the people.

Rosemary Atuhaire, the deputy resident district commissioner, Ntungamo, revealed that the projects are part of the fulfillment of the National Resistance Movement manifesto, saying that this is a clear indication that President Yoweri Museveni is working hard to ensure that Ugandans live better lives.

Ntungamo chief administrative officer officer urged locals to monitor the construction of the projects as well as putting them to good use upon completion.

The launch was also attended by local leaders, politicians and local leaders from the areas benefiting from the projects in question.
