Counsel Katabazi commends St.Clelia Primary for Championing Good Performance in Rukiga

It was smiles at St Clelia Nursery Primary School-Kitanga in Rukiga District as Parents, Teachers, Pupils converged at the Schools grounds to celebrate the school’s performance in the 2023 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) examinations. 

According to Rev Fr Marius Byamukama, the Kitanga Parish Priest and School Director, the success of the school is attributed to the resilience and dedication of the teachers and parents. He emphasized the importance of celebrating victories and milestones in life, recognizing that all success comes from the Lord.

Rev Fr Byamukama called upon the Rukiga District education department to not only call schools to pick up results but also support and reward high-performing schools. He encouraged the empowerment of schools that excel academically.

Mr Turyasingura Federis, the Head teacher of St Clelia Nursery Primary School-Kitanga, expressed gratitude for the good academic performance. He attributed it to God’s mercy, dedicated teachers, disciplined and God-fearing students, and an enabling academic environment.

Counsel Kiconco Katabaazi Patrick, the guest of honor, acknowledged that St Clelia Nursery Primary School-Kitanga has put Rukiga District on the map due to its good performance. He encouraged other schools to emulate St Clelia and strive for better performance.

Counsel Patrick emphasized the importance of education in providing knowledge, increasing the value of individuals, and improving understanding within communities. He commended the teachers for their tremendous work in shaping the young children into better future Ugandans.

As a gesture of support, Counsel Kiconco donated a cow to provide milk to the school children, further contributing to their well-being and nutrition.
